Going live
From sandbox to production: certification evidence, review with FINAP USA LLC and the Sponsor Bank, and production credentials.
The path#
- Partnership agreement. Production use starts with an agreement with FINAP USA LLC. To start that conversation, write to info@finap-usa.com or use the support form.
- Build and test in the sandbox. Use this documentation and the developer portal.
- Collect certification evidence. The portal's Certification page passes each check from your own integration's traffic. Requests from the scenario runner, the API explorer and the demo app do not count.
- Review. Send the evidence report to FINAP USA LLC. The review covers your integration, your customer journeys and disclosures, your security controls and your operational readiness, with the Sponsor Bank where required.
- Production configuration. FINAP USA LLC sets up your Tenant configuration: account structure, limits and fees, web app origins and return pages, and app identifiers.
- Production credentials. Issued through a secure channel, never by e-mail.
- Launch. A controlled first period with close monitoring, then full operation.
The certification checks#
| Group | What your integration shows |
|---|---|
| API conventions | Tokens, idempotent retries, error handling and pagination |
| Customers | Consumer and merchant onboarding, a review outcome, result exchange, a customer leaving a screen |
| Bank linking | A verified link, a bank with its own sign-in, a failed link |
| Money movement | Loads (and a failed load), payments from balance and by bank, QR payments, withdrawals, refunds and disputes |
| Merchants | Receiving payments, counter QR codes, merchant-to-merchant payments, merchant refunds and withdrawals |
| Webhooks | Your endpoint acknowledging events, recovering from a failed delivery, refusing a tampered signature, ignoring duplicates |
| Reporting | Reconciliation, statements and the events list |
Open the evidence report from the Certification page; it is ready to print or save as PDF.
What changes in production#
| Area | Production |
|---|---|
| Base URL and credentials | Production values, issued after the review |
| Identity checks | Real checks under the Sponsor Bank's program; no test values |
| Money | Real funds over the RTP network |
| Bank linking | Plaid's own script and real banks |
| Hosted screens | Real one-time codes by text message, and the device's own passkeys |
| Sandbox tools | Not available: no simulation, automatic completion or time travel |
Before you launch#
- Store production credentials in a secrets manager, separate from sandbox credentials.
- Point your production webhook endpoint at production, and verify signatures with the production secret.
- Make sure your customer-facing text describes A2A InstaPay as agreed in your partnership documents.
- Agree with FINAP USA LLC how your support team escalates customer issues, disputes and suspected fraud.
